The forensic scientists in the Miscellaneous Section examine all the other kind of physical evidence which cannot be specifically classified under other disciplinary.
Restoration of obliterated chassis numbers and engine numbers of suspicious vehicles and determination of the genuineness of such vehicles and identification of budded vehicle is one of the examinations handled by this section.
Scientific analysis and comparison of various physical evidence and trace evidence recovered from crime scenes such as glass fragments, paint smears and chips, fibers, soil, tools, tool marks, various marks and impressions (except finger marks) are conducted using scientific methods, and advanced analytical instruments by this section. In addition, it is the responsibility of the experts in this division to scientifically examine the vehicle accident sites and other related evidences, recreate those accidents and find the necessary important evidences.
